Short & Sweet Nutcraker

Join us for a beautiful Christmas outing at The Kimbell Cultural Event Center in Historic Downtown Bryan for Joy of Dance Ballet Company’s Short & Sweet Nutcracker.

This special ballet production is designed to be intimate, festive, and family-centered — a one-hour retelling of The Nutcracker filled with classical ballet, beautiful choreography, familiar Tchaikovsky music, and the warmth of the Christmas season.

Guests are encouraged to make an occasion of it. Come in your Christmas best, take family photos, enjoy a festive afternoon or evening together, and create sweet holiday memories with the people you love.

The performances will take place in The Kimbell’s unique black box theater environment — a flexible, welcoming performance space created with community arts groups like ours in mind. This intimate setting allows the audience to feel especially close to the dancers and choreography, creating a warm and immersive theatrical experience.

Each performance will run approximately one hour and will feature principal dancers, featured roles, ensemble work, and beloved selections from The Nutcracker, followed by a festive reception.
